…Munchkin and I used yet another one of our Groupons and spent the day at PLAY.
PLAY is an indoor play space in Greenpoint, Brooklyn that is designed for kids under the age of 5. Along with the open play are, they also have really cool classes like music and baby yoga. Unfortunately, they began about two weeks ago so it was too late for us to join any.
Munchkin had a blast.
The shopping cart is Munchkin’s favorite toy. I really need to buy him one for home, since we now have a lot more room thanks to the play room.
After we were all played out, we headed over to The Garden to pick up a few things for dinner. While I was there, I also picked up Flaxseed and Chia seeds which I am very excited to try. I’ve seen them both pop up in so many recipes on different blogs and I’m curious to see if they measure up to the hype.
For dinner, I used my new wok for the first time and made some Chicken Pad See Ew. It actually turned out differently than the last time I made it because instead of regular rice noodles, I accidentally bought Rice Udon, which are made of both rice and wheat flours.
It was still very yummy. I think my next attempt at Thai food will be fried rice. The wok makes cooking so much easier because the cooking space is a lot larger than in a regular pan and it makes mixing all the ingredients together very quick and easy. The wok was only five bucks at Ikea. Awesome purchase!
We spent our evening watching Netflix on our new TV and took a trip to Home Depot with a pit stop at Coldstone Creamery.
Now I’m debating whether or not to go back to kickboxing today because I’m super sore. When you’re sore do you rest or keep working out through it?
