Yesterday Munchkin and I ventured out not really sure of where we were going and ended up at the new park we visited a few weeks ago. Like anything owned and run by the City of New York, the park which has only been open since about May is undergoing renovations and half of it is closed. It took like five years to build the park, you think they would have gotten it right after that much time.
Even with renovations in full swing, Munchkin still had a ton of fun. Since the sprinklers were on, I stripped him down to his diaper to play in them, which I think he enjoyed a lot. He’s a big fan of running around naked.
The weather was gorgeous while we were out and I even managed to get a pretty nice tan while we were there.
Once Tommy got home, we went to the barber to get the boys haircuts. Unfortunatly, Munchkin had different plans. Once we sat him down in the chair, he would start screaming and crying. So we let Tommy go first thinking that maybe if he saw him getting his haircut, he wouldn’t be scared. We were wrong, very wrong.
We gave up on the haircut for Munchkin and the barber was really nice and gave us some advice on how to cut his hair in the bathtub to just even it out a little. He has a little guy just around Munchkin’s age so he was very understanding and joked that it breaks his heart when his little guy refuses haircuts from his own father. If your interested in the place, you can find him here.
We decided on sushi for dinner and, as usual, it was delicious. Before Tommy left for Poland, every time we went for sushi we would get the same waitress and I don’t think she works there anymore because we haven’t seen her since. We both joke that we miss our girl. She kind of knew what we liked and would be getting and hooked us up with free Saki.
The rest of the evening was rather uneventful except for the fact that my car is bugging out. For some reason is keeps making the sound that it makes when you turn off the alarm and open the car. It does the beep noise and the lights flash. Any mechanics out there know what the heck is wrong with my car? Help!
Have a great Thursday!
