It seems that spring has arrived quite a bit early this year, but I am not complaining in the least bit. The weather for most of this weekend was gorgeous and we took full advantage by enjoying time outdoors. Tommy, Munchkin and I spent the weekend in the Philly area and we had a great time.
We were supposed to be on the road fairly early on Friday, but Tommy got a bit tied up at work and we hit the road a little later than expected. We got stuck in some traffic in New Jersey, but when isn’t there traffic in NJ, right? We made the best of it by listening to random music that we found on YouTube. It started with me showing Tommy Karmin because that girl can rap like nuts and ended with us listening to Hip Hop on the violin. This guy is on to something!
We finally made it to PA, ate some pizza, watched some TV and called it a night.
We woke up on Saturday and did a little shopping. I’m such a sucker for outlet malls. I got some cute things at Loft, J Crew and Banana Republic. Munchkin got some awesome Cars pjs at the Disney outlet.
After shopping we headed out to Belmar to Surf Taco. I’m going to save this for a future post because Tommy has these pictures. But lemme tell you, it was some good Mexican!
On Sunday, we woke up bright and early and headed out to New Hope. The weather was perfect to spend the day wandering through the town. We got there around lunch time, so after getting in some walking, we decided it was time to eat. We are both BBQ lovers, so we chose Bitter Bob’s.
Tommy got a Beef Brisket sandwhich, while I got the Loaf.
While it was really good and I enjoyed it, I had my eye on a different sandwich that was made with BBQ Seitan. I’ve wanted to try seitan for quite some time, but I didn’t want to end up getting something I didn’t like. Next time!
After lunch, we got ice cream. I’ve been taking about Gersner’s Exotic Ice Cream since the last time we went to New Hope.
I got the same flavor as last time, Vanilla Birthday Cake, and it was just as good as I remembered. Maybe even better.

Yay! I love New Hope! For the obvious reasons 😉 I've seen that Biker Bobs but have never gone there. The food looks great! Definitely going to have to try it and the ice cream too. So yummy.
I'm going to New Hope tomorrow! It's been ages since I've gotten ice cream at Gerenser's and I am abnormally excited about having some 🙂
