Well we’ve come to the last Wednesday of July and I cannot believe that time is flying by soo quickly! I’m not ready for August people! Since it’s Wednesday, it’s WIAW time and I’ve got some good eats and good fitness to share, so let’s get to it!

This is another amazing breakfast. Dippy egg, two slices of Oatnut bread, homemade guac and broccoli slaw. My food processor makes the best
guac hands down. It same out smooth and chunky all at the same time, not to mention it had quite a bit of kick.
As if I didn’t get enough avocado from eating a huge bowl of guac in two days [I had help!] I made chicken salad stuffed avocados again.
I had this amazing meal at Carlucci’s when we were in Philly for the weekend. It’s shrimp and asparagus skewers on a bed of veggie “pasta.” I had to stop myself from licking my plate, this stuff was so good!
And what would a WIAW be without sushi, right? We went out for sushi, post WOD yesterday and it was mighty tasty. Of course, the boys started digging in before I could snap a picture. Guess they were hungry?
I have also been snacking away on my NatureBox goodies all week. The Sunny Trails is like crack. I.could.not.put.it.down!
We also stayed hydrated this week with our Camelbak bottles. Munchkin got his first Camelbak this weekend because he kept stealing mine, and sometimes I don’t like to share. 😉 A hydrated mama is a happy mama.
I also drank the Kool-aid this week. Not this guy..
But the Crossfit Kool-aid, and let me tell you, it is some delicious stuff. I’m still in the Foundations portion of Crossfit, but I am in love. Yesterday was my second fondations class and we learned the proper forms of some moves before doing another mini-WOD.
We practiced proper form for dead-lifts, presses, push presses, burpees and ab mat sit-ups. It is such an amazing feeling to finally get the proper form of a move down after doing it wrong for a million times. The dead-lifts owned me, but I owned the burpees. Yes, you read that correctly, I owned the burpees, and I think I might even like them! See, told you, Kool-aid!
Our mini-WOD was AMRAP:
- 5 burpees
- 10 dead-lifts
- 15 sit ups
I got through 2 1/2 rounds and felt amazing afterward. Sore. Sweaty. Amazing!
What’s the best thing you ate this week? Have you tried the Crossfit Kool-aid?!
The quinoa and egg combo looks like something that I could never tire of, yum!

They were soo good!
I LOVE Carlucci’s!!! They have such good food! 🙂 I love the pizza bread that they give you to start off your meal.

That bread was amazing. I had to keep myself for going back for seconds and thirds of it!
That avocado with chicken salad looks amazing!! And I really need to try this dippy egg business that I see in a lot of blogs..I’m tired of eating them boiled or fried. Time to spice things up a lil’ 😉
I’ve never tried crossfit, and quite frankly am a lil’ intimidated by it…Perhaps someday. Good luck to you!

Dippy eggs are a whole other egg world. While I love hard boiled, nothing compares to the deliciousness of a broken yolk!
Crossfit is incredibly intimidating, but awesome at the same time. Try it!
That sushi looks amazing – I love any sushi with avocado.

Me too!
Your Nature Box looks like fun. Although I’ve never tried it before, Sunny Trails is right up my alley, looooved how much you love it!!
It was my first month trying Nature Box, but I love it. Everything I got was amazing and I will be signing up for another month, for sure!
Look at all those avocados! One of my favorite foods — prepared as guac, perfection. Good looking set of food this week.

Thanks! Avocado makes every food much better!
I did my second Crossfit foundations class today too! We practiced presses (push presses and 2 others I can’t remember). Our WOD was 8 minute AMRAP of 8 balls slams, 6 kettleball thrusters, and 4 box jumps. The ball slams were very difficult for me even though I was only using a 15 lb ball, mostly because I am small to begin with (4’11!) but I gave it all I had and felt amazing afterwards!

We did ball slams on day three with wall balls and they kicked my butt! I never knew that I can feel this sore and this awesome at the same time!
So many great ideas here! I can’t wait to make the chicken salad stuffed avocados. I have been on such a guac kick lately, having it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! And of course, the sushi looks to die for:)

Try the avocados. They are my go to, quick lunch or dinner. You can never go wrong with avocado!
I have been obsessed with dippy eggs!! They have been part of my breakfast for the past week or so and i’m definitely not sick of them yet. Glad to know you are loving them, too! Don’t get me started on avocado…that’s my other love! 🙂

I don\’t think it\’s possible to get sick of either!
I can NOT get enough of avocados. I could probably eat one a day and still not get tired of them.
That sushi is sooo pretty! Almost too pretty to eat. Almost.
I’m in love with that little camelback bottle. Haven’t drank the kool-aid yet but you never know….. :-0)

I haven’t drank the cross fit kool aid yet, but love reading about the workouts on all the blogs. Your pic is seriously making me want sushi!
Drink it, it\’s good for you! 😉
So happy you are drinking the CrossFit Kool Aid! I’ve been doing crossfit for over a year and truly still love it and look forward to it every single time I go! That quinoa egg bowl looks yummy by the way!

The Kool Aid is amazing! I\’m only three days in, but I am obsessed. My boyfriend signed up with me, and it\’s become the topic of most of our conversations.
The sushi looks divine. I have really been craving it lately. We have a good sushi place about 40 min. from my house, but it is EXPENSIVE! Maybe for my birthday or anniversary we will go back? The best thing I’ve eaten this week? Hmmm… probably the Ezekiel bread open faced sandwich with vegan mozzarella cheese and sliced tomato from the farmers market.
We actually go to a sushi buffet place which is relatively cheap and the sushi is always delicious and fresh. The place is always packed, so that helps. Your sandwich sounds amazing!
I haven’t tried the crossfit kool-aid yet but am very tempted! Great food pics…I love avocado but always eat it the same way so you gave me some great ideas.
