The days until Christmas are dwindling, but if you’re like me, your gift list isn’t. I am a notorious last minute shopper, but I blame that on school, finals and not being able to shop because my nose is in the books. If you’re still looking for a last minute gift for the runner on your list, or just some cool things to add to your running gear, check out my suggestions below!
1. Athleta Polartec Tights. These tights are lined with fleece and are the warmest leggings I own. I wore these out on one of the coldest days we’ve had so far this winter, and they kept me incredibly warm. They also come in tall sizes, which is a huge plus for me!
2. Swiftwick Socks. These are my absolute favorite running socks. They keep your toes dry and and blister free. These babies have carried me through three mud runs, and while most people are throwing their socks away, I wash them and they are good as new.
3. Bib coasters. There are tons of way to display race bibs, but I thought this was one of the most creative ones I have seen. You send them in, the company turns them into coasters and you have an automatic conversation piece.
4. Saucony Kinrava 4. I got these shoes at FitBlogNYC and I love them for running. Super comfy, super light and super cute.
5. Koss FitClips. These are headphones for women created by women. I received these and the FitBuds for review and I love them both. At first glance, I wasn’t sure about the FitClips and the over ear design, but after one HIIT workout filled jumps and sweat, I was sold. I also love that they come with different sized ear cushions because I was able to switch them out and get the perfect fit with the FitBuds. These usually sell for $29.99, but they are only $19.99 at Walmart, Best Buy, Walgreen, Kmart and Sears for Christmas.
6. Garmin Forerunner. I have the 405 (which is
now discontinued) and it is a great watch. I find it super motivating to be able to track your distance, pace and progress and have it all show up in a cool spreadsheet. It makes me want to run more and farther.
7. Under Armour Cold Gear Hoodie. When running in the winter, layers are a must. This hoodie has a coating on the inside to trap your body heat and keep you warm even on the coldest of runs.
8. Foam Roller. The foam roller is every athlete’s friend. Regardless of what kind of exercise you love, this will make your sore muscles feel amazing.
9. Oakley Sunglasses. I love Oakley sunglasses because they are sunglasses designed for outdoor fitness that don’t look like your typical “sport” sunglasses. These are cute enough to go from workout to a day out on the town.
10. BAMR Bands. These are my favorite non-slip headbands. They come in the cutest designs and do not budge, ’nuff said.
I hope you were able to find some gift inspiration through this list!
