Tommy has been working crazy hours lately and having only one day a week off, so having two days to spend together was great. The Vegetarian Duck was great. I tried it because of the recommendation of my good friend. He\’s been vegetarian since we were in high school and he asked twice to make sure it wasn\’t real duck when he ordered it because the taste was so close.

I like to use the excuse that I have a kid so I know those kinds of things, but I just never really grew up. Haha. Watching him try to blow out the candles was too cute, he would blow, look up and say Mama, it doesn\’t work. I didn\’t have the heart to tell him it wouldn\’t work no matter how hard he blew.

He was just over 1 the last time we went. I have been making my way to the Bronx Zoo for like two years, but can\’t get up there.

I have a love/hate relationship with the hat. It matches absolutely none of his winter gear, but it makes him so happy.
