If I left you wondering “What the heck is she talking about?” earlier this week, I have good news. I can finally tell you about the awesome surprise baby shower we threw from my cousin yesterday!
The baby shower was a little last minute, since we threw it together in a week and she is due in just two, but it went off without a hitch. That is, if you don’t include the part where we managed to buy everything – decoration, cups, forks, knives, balloons, etc, but forgot to buy plates. Thank goodness we realized about a half hour before the guests were going to arrive, so I had a chance to run to Party City and pick some up.
All the girls really came together and helped with the appetizers. We ordered food from our local, go-to catering place, and it was delicious like usual. Well, at least the meatless things I was able to try. I actually made myself a plate of salads and a sandwich before I realized that it all had meat. Womp womp womp, but I have to say that it did keep me from overstuffing myself and feeling icky later. Whenever I mix a ton of different foods, my belly is not a happy camper.
The cake came from the bakery that my cousin used to work at. It was really moist and was pink cheetah print inside. Super cute!
It was a great day, and the best part was that she didn’t suspect a thing! I was standing in the kitchen when she walked in so I could capture the moment on camera, and the first minute, she thought that I had just come over, but when she saw the rest of the girls, and the decorations, her face was priceless!
I cannot wait for the little bundle of joy to be here already! Two more weeks…and because of this, my Monday is marvelous!
