If you walk down the aisles of a supermarket, I can almost guarantee that many of the foods on the shelves that is there today weren’t there when you were a kid. Food fads change very often, but the things that remain the same are the wholesome foods that you can remember eating as a kid. For me, one of these things is Honey Maid Graham Crackers. One of my best childhood memories is roasting marshmallows on the stove with my cousin to make indoor s’mores (we grew up in New York City, we had to make it work). Now that I have a son of my own, I am always trying to share things from my childhood with him, and s’mores made with Honey Maid Graham Crackers are definitely one of them. I love that they are made with whole grain and don’t contain any high fructose corn syrup. They are a delicious, wholesome snack that I can feel good about sharing with him. cracker Earlier this summer, my fiancé and I took our son camping for the first time. I was caught off guard when my son asked if we could go camping one afternoon as I was driving him home from school. He’s only four and he had never been camping, so naturally I asked him if he really knew what camping was. When he told me that it’s when you sleep outside and make s’mores.  He was so right, that we just couldn’t say no. A few weeks later, we arrived at the campground, car full of gear and not much of an idea of what to do with all of it. I had been camping a few times before, but I was never in charge of putting up the tent or any important stuff like that. My fiancé and I attempted to assemble the tent and our first attempt looked something like this. Who knew that all the poles were of different lengths? tent After a few tries, we got it up just as it began to storm. We were worried that our tent would float away, but all through the storm, my son peered out of the tent and asked will we still be able to make s’mores tonight? Luckily, the storm passed and we were able to have a great, s’more filled weekend in the wilderness. smore Honey Maid is more than just plain graham crackers. They make lots of different snacks that are sure to please the pickiest eater and as a parent, you feel good giving your children a wholesome snack. Our pantry is always stocked with Grahamfuls and Teddy Grahams, in addition to plain graham crackers. Grahamfuls are one of my favorite to go snacks for my son because they are individually wrapped and I can toss one in my purse for him to enjoy when we are out and about. alex The best part about all the Honey Maid products? The smiles they produce.

A few weeks ago, this pretty little box appeared at my door step. I love all the inspirational words on the box – you know there has to be good stuff inside a box like this.

kona kase

Kona Kase is a monthly subscription service, and each month you get a box that filled to the brim with endurance nutrition samples. I love these types of subscription boxes because I get to try so many new products that I normally wouldn’t think to purchase. The case costs $15 a month and you can cancel at any time. They’re also a great gift, especially if you sign someone up for a longer subscription.

My box came with:

Each box comes with a card explaining what each item is. Many items also have a discount code if you want to purchase more, which is pretty sweet. There’s also a spot to grade each item, so you don’t forget which things you really liked.

My box also came with this really great quote. It really resonated with me and I feel like it can apply to almost anything in our lives, not just fitness.

Back in October, while I was at the Runner’s World Half and Festival, we got a sample of Mediterranean Snacks Lentil Chips in our goodie bags. Even though they were supposed to be a snack for me, the runner, they were quickly swiped my the two men who accompanied me to the run. In their defense, they did let me try one! So when I was contacted by Mediterranean Snacks, I asked my guys if they wanted to try some more of the crisps they gobbled up, their response was a resounding Yes!

A few days later, my package of chips arrived, and the snacking commenced. The awesome people at Mediterranean Snacks sent me a whole snack pack which consisted of three bags of their Lentil Chips and three bags of the new Hummuz Crispz.

These babies kept me company while I studied and for that I will be forever grateful.

As far as snacks go, these are at the top of the totem pole. They pack between 4 and 5 grams of protein per serving, are gluten free and are baked, which drastically cuts down on the unhealthy fat and calories! And lets not forget the most important part – the taste! They come in a bunch of unique flavors and are quite enjoyable to snack on. They are Munchkin’s favorite treat. As soon as he finishes his bowl, he starts to yell “More Mama, more!” They are also sturdy enough for dip, and are a great alternative to tortilla chips.

Since I am not one to keep all the goodies for myself, the great people at Mediterranean Snacks are giving one of you the opportunity to try a snack pack of their products. One lucky winner will receive a variety of flavored of Baked Lentil Chips, Lentil Crackers, HummuZ Crispz and Popcorn.
a Rafflecopter giveaway

Good luck! 🙂
